Hulk Hogan had a press conference today and appeared on Larry King Live and the Today Show. He has signed with TNA Wrestling. He probably won't be wrestling but is scheduled to be on Thursday's show. He also talked about his upcoming autobiography and his son Nick.
According to a Twitter post from Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan is going to have a press conference tomorrow, October 27, 2009 at Madison Square Garden. No times were given, but it will be sometime and he will probably be speaking on his wrestling tour.
Legendary pro wrestling manager Captain Lou Albano passed away today at the age of 76. According to sources, he was in hospital care at the time. He is known for managing over a dozen tag team to championships and his beard, rubber band piercings and interviews that would rile up the crowd and his wrestlers's opponents. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1997. He was also frequently seen on MTV in the early 1980's alongside Cyndi Lauper and appeared in her videos. Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon is running for the US Senate seat up for grabs next year in Connecticut. She is seeking to unseat Chris Dodd. McMahon is seeking the GOP nomination.
As a side note WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon is taking over the day to day job of CEO as Linda seeks the seat.

NBC will be broadcasting a one hour version of the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 9:00 PM est. This will feature some of the best moments of the biggest pay-per-view of the year.
Over the weekend Kurt Ange was arrested in Pittsburgh and found with HGH. He was arrested for violating a restraining order on his girlfriend.
According to an article from The Sun's website (http://www.thesun.co.uk) from July 31, 2009, they say that Kurt Angle will be a contestant on the next season of ABC's hit show "Dancing with the Stars." This is an exclusive story to them, but other sources on the internet are saying it is just a rumor.

In front of a sold out crowd on the occasion of its 9th anniversary, New England Championship Wrestling announced tonight that it will be making its television debut with a weekly one hour broadcast on Comcast SportsNet New England beginning January 2010.
At the start of NECW’s BIRTHDAY BASH 9: RAGE IN A CAGE, All of NECW stars and staff surrounded the ring. NECW’s owners addressed the crowd and played a video of the official announcement from NECW ownership and management, along with Comcast SportsNet executives.
In making the announcement, NECW Co-Owner & Promoter, Sheldon Goldberg said, “I do not hesitate to say that this is the biggest moment in the 9 year history of our company. Since New England Championship Wrestling was founded back in August of 2000, one of our most important goals was to find a vehicle to bring our brand of professional wrestling to television viewers throughout New England.
This announcement today doesn’t just give NECW that vehicle. It gives us the Rolls Royce of vehicles. Comcast SportsNet is the premiere name in regional sports television and we could not be happier to make our television home here.”
New England Championship Wrestling will be airing on Friday afternoons from 4 to 5 PM EST beginning Friday, January 8, 2010.
Comcast SportsNet is available throughout the six New England states in approximately 4.8 million homes and nationally in roughly 38 million homes.
NECW also announced that Paul Richard, former New England promoter for the original ECW, was named to the newly created post of General Manager, which is a business position as opposed to a storyline role. Richard had been working with NECW on local promotions and as a consultant.

The Cityy of Memphis, Tennessee has a special election to replace their Mayor due to his planned retirement, and WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler thinks it should be him. The special election is set to take place in October.
