MASTERS OF THE MAT / 4 MAN - 30 MINUTE IRON MAN MATCH

Bruno Marciano vs. Papadon vs. Josh Daniels vs. Quiet Storm

In what should be one of the most anticipated and impressive match-ups on the card, these four men will compete in the 1st ever NYWC "Masters of the Mat" match. With a 30 minute time limit the competitor with the most points will be declared the winner. Submissions will be worth 3 points and pinfalls will be worth 2 points. If a wrestler is counted out of the ring they will lose 1 point and if a wrestler is disqualified he will lose 2 points. There will be a special scoreboard on the Video screen so the fans can keep track of the point totals.

DREAM PARTNER TAG TEAM MATCH

Blake Morris & Mike Reed vs. Kanyon & Mortis

After being denied two straight pinfall victories at the hands of Blake Morris & Mike Reed, former WCW/WWE Superstar Kanyon, finally had enough and issued a challenge for a tag team match in order to even the odds. Morris & Reed accepted the challenge and told Kanyon to go get any partner he wanted. In a move that can only be described as puzzling, Kanyon picked a name wrestling fans haven't heard in quite some time, the skull wielding Mortis. Will Kanyon & Mortis be able to "co-exist" as a team? We'll all find out on January 30th.

FORMER PARTNERS COLLIDE

Stockade vs. Syther with special guest referee Crusher Doogan

Stockade & Syther are former NYWC tag team Champions who used to be members of "The Black Circle" with manager Crusher Doogan and founder Mikey Whipwreck. However, after Whipwreck retired and victories were few and far between it became quite clear Stockade wanted nothing more to do with Syther. Syther & Stockade are both under a managerial contract with Crusher Doogan and it's only fitting that Mr. Doogan act as the special guest referee. This contest promises to be a hard-fought battle between men out to destroy each other.

A MATTER OF RESPECT

Dickie Rodz vs. Azrieal

Dickie defeated Azrieal On December 19th in Woodside and it's no secret Azrieal thinks the better man didn't win and has wanted a rematch ever since. After pinning Francis Kipland Stevens during a tag team match at "Sideshow" Azrieal decided pinning NYWC's loveable nerd wasn't enough. Azrieal offered his had to Kip as a sign of respect and as Kip accepted, Azrieal punted him in the groin. With Kip in severe pain, Azrieal belittled and slapped him around until Rodz came to the ring. Azrieal decided to save the fight for another day but told Dickie as he left, "January 30th will end with you on your back just like your friend the nerd".

JOKER'S WILD BATTLE ROYAL

Eddie Guapo, K-Murda, K-Pu$ha, Dirty JT, Daemon Crowley, Boogalou, Dirty Moore, Dirty Cherry, Big Daddy Haystacks, Jethro, Spyder, Benny Martinez, Manny Martinez, Matias, & Chris Forza. The final five names will be announced later this week.

One of the most looked forward to matches in the NYWC every year is the Joker's Wild Battle Royal. 20 participants fight in an over-the-top rope battle royal where the winner is granted a title shot for the NYWC Championship, NYWC Interstate Championship, NYWC Hi-Fi Championship or they can find a partner and challenge for the NYWC Tag Team Championship. Rookies have used the Joker's Wild Battle royal to jumpstart their careers and veterans have used the opportunity to once again get their careers back on track. Expect some familiar faces mixed with some new ones and maybe even some faces you haven't seen in a while. In the Joker's Wild battle Royal, expect the unexpected.
